Ernie Checkeris Public School is a French Immersion School. Although all subject areas are taught in French, we strongly encourage that you read to your child in English or have your child read to you in English or French. Reading to a child, gives the child a chance to understand characters and story lines. Talking about pictures and how they tell a story gives the child a chance preview a story before having it read to him/her.

Checkeris will have interim reports which give you a heads up about how your child is performing. There will be an interim report card in November, and two official report cards in January and June. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher with any questions.
